Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Bookso ("we", "us"). Bookso is the trading name of James Adams, trading from Nursery Gardens, Waltham Cross, EN7 6RZ. By creating an account or using bookso.co.uk (the "Service") you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Bookso provides a rebooking and reminder platform for tradespeople: a customer booking page, automated service reminders, and tools for managing customers, jobs and bookings. The Service is intended for business use by UK tradespeople and their teams.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the accuracy and lawfulness of the customer data you upload, including having a lawful basis to contact your customers.
3. Plans, billing and payment
The Free plan covers up to 5 customers. Paid plans (Pro and Business) are billed in advance, monthly or annually, at the prices shown on our pricing page. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; by subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your chosen payment method until you cancel.
Prices are not subject to VAT as Bookso is not VAT registered. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes take effect at your next billing cycle. If a payment fails we may retry it and, after reasonable notice, suspend paid features until payment is made.
4. Cancellation and cooling-off
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep paid features until then. After cancellation your account reverts to the Free plan and its limits. You can delete your account entirely at any time.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, where they apply to you, you have a 14-day right to cancel from the day you subscribe. Because the Service starts immediately on subscription, by subscribing you expressly request that supply begins straight away and acknowledge that your right to cancel may be lost or reduced to the extent the Service has already been supplied during the 14-day period.
5. Refunds
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or downgrades. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us within 30 days at info@bookso.co.uk and we will review it in good faith. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- send spam or messages to people who have not done business with you or consented to be contacted;
- upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content;
- attempt to access other users' data or disrupt the Service;
- resell or white-label the Service without our written agreement.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with notice where practicable.
7. Your data
You retain all rights to the data you upload. You grant us a licence to host and process it solely to provide the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and GDPR statement. You can export your customer data at any time.
In relation to the contact details and job history of your customers that you store in the Service, you are the data controller and Bookso is your data processor. Bookso will process that data only on your documented instructions, apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures, will not sell or share that data with third parties for their own marketing, and will delete or return that data on closure of your account (subject to any legal retention obligations).
8. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may modify, add or remove features. If we discontinue the Service we will give at least 30 days' notice and the opportunity to export your data.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability arising out of the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period (or £100 if you are on the Free plan), and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of business or data.
10. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
